AFETO

An exhibition of an Ekphrastic poetry collection – a collaboration between the Cape Verdean artist, Lito Silva and the poet, Maria Straw-Cinar.

An evening of poetry and paintings hosted by poet Maria Straw-Cinar and Cape Verdean artist Lito Silva.
This evening will launch Afeto, Maria Straw-Cinar’s ekphrastic poetry collection inspired by Lito’s paintings.The poems will be displayed alongside the artwork exploring themes of slavery, music, motherhood and loss. Maria will be reading from her collection surrounded by Lito Silva’s vibrant images.
